For hospitals
What a hospital asks of a schedule.
What Healio covers in a hospital, stated plainly.
Medical and nursing teams
Doctors, caregivers, float pool staff: one schedule for groups that work to different rules and different rhythms.
Rules engine
Maximum hours, rest between shifts, free weekends, in-house agreements: set up once, applied to every schedule.
Cross-unit scheduling
Each unit keeps its own shifts, targets and rules, while the whole hospital coordinates in the same tool.
On-call, standby and float pool
On-call duty, standby and extra cover go into the schedule just like ordinary shifts.
Doctors’ rotations
Rotations between units are planned in the tool, with each unit’s competences and coverage needs.
Career paths and training
Training pathways and career milestones are scheduled together with the rest of the unit, not separately.
Shared staff
When one unit is short-handed and another has people to spare, the need shows up before anyone has to go looking for it.
Integrations
HRIS, payroll, time and attendance, clocking in, appointment booking: Healio integrates with what your hospital already uses.
How it works
Two hours to set up, not months to get started.
The Healio team works alongside you, from setting up the unit to the first published schedules.
The unit is set up with your managers.
The Healio team creates your team and configures the unit with you: shifts, competences, rest periods, legal requirements and staffing targets. Two hours on average, and the unit is ready to schedule.

Your manager has invited you to join the Intensive care team.

Your teams get to know the tool.
We introduce Healio to caregivers and managers alike, and stay with them through the first steps. Everyone comes away knowing how to share their preferences and read their schedule.
The schedule takes shape with the team.
Caregivers’ preferences, your unit’s rules, the manager’s final say: the first schedule follows exactly the path every schedule after it will take.

Once you are live
And after that, we stay easy to reach.
“What if something goes wrong on a Sunday — can we call you?” Yes. Write to us about what can wait; call us about what cannot.
- Business daysDay to day, by email.
- A question about a schedule, a problem you have run into, feedback on the app: managers and caregivers write to us, and the Healio team answers on business days. Every piece of feedback is read.
- Every dayIn an emergency, a direct line.
- A schedule stuck the evening before a shift, a unit that cannot wait: a direct line puts you through to the Healio team, every day, weekends and public holidays included.
For every role
The same schedule, seen by everyone.
Your preferences, from your phone.
- Day, night, leave, unavailability: you enter your preferences between shifts.
- You see the unit’s needs, so you can adjust your choices with the full picture in mind.
- Your published schedule, always at hand.

The last word, with less checking.
- Legal requirements, agreements and competences set up once, applied to every schedule.
- AI fills the gaps; every adjustment is explained and can be undone.
- The manager reviews, adjusts and publishes.

Common questions
What hospitals ask us.
What if the team cannot agree?
Approval stays with the manager: Healio does not hand scheduling over to the team; it gives the team a say. If no agreement is reached, the manager settles it, and answers for the fairness and the safety of the unit.
Does artificial intelligence decide instead of the manager?
No. AI proposes adjustments from the rules and the needs you have set. The manager reviews the proposals, makes their own changes, and approves the schedule before it is published.
Can the manager still build the schedule directly?
Healio also works without the collaborative layer; some medical teams prefer it that way. Everyone enters their preferences, and the manager builds the schedule and publishes it.
What if my team is not comfortable with digital tools?
Healio was designed in a hospital, with caregivers and managers. Saying what you would like takes a few minutes on a phone, with no training beforehand. In the first month we introduce Healio to your teams and stay with them through their first steps.
How do caregivers access their schedule?
Through a mobile app, on iOS, Android, or from a browser. Everyone sees their schedule, says what they would like and helps cover the unit’s needs between shifts, without going near a computer.
Can we try Healio before committing?
Yes. You get a 60-day trial to use Healio with your team and your own schedules. We help you with the setup and with the first steps.
Where is our data hosted?
Your data is hosted in Switzerland, on secure infrastructure. Protecting it and keeping it confidential is central to how we work.
How much does Healio cost?
The price depends on the size of your team and the access you need. Contact us for an offer suited to your organization.
